First, I love the concept of Story, Problem and Questions to resolve the problem oneself. I have not seen that anywhere before; it makes the book less authoritative and more collaborative. It also makes it a book one wants to keep, it never goes out of style since the questions are timeless, while the answers update. Guidance on how to read the book is interesting and helpful.

I appreciated that most personality styles were represented in the stories, and the diversity of backgrounds and ways of surfacing the issues. There are several stories I could personally relate to - and if I had had some good questions to ask myself then, I probably would not have mulled over them so much, or so long.

Overall the chapter pattern is so clear, and the issues and solutions for each chapter are so clearly presented, too. I found the questions open enough to find a range of hidden issues - not only after the fact or when resistance comes up. I find the questions also useful to check on potential inner conflict down the road before making a business decision such as creating new products or services, entering new markets or hiring people or associating with new partners and so on.

A big ‘aha’ moment came in the chapter explaining celebrating growth as acknowledging what we have accomplished ourselves vs comparing to others - and the need to celebrate to integrate. Asking what I have done/know now that I didn’t 6 months ago was a real eye opener! The need to 'celebrate' was a concept I always thought of as American, never really understood - now I do and actually appreciate it!
